Pixar reveals details and first look at ‘The Incredibles 3’
During the Disney D23 event, Pixar revealed first concept art and plot details for ‘The Incredibles 3’, which is scheduled for a theatrical release in June 2028. The film is expected to round out the franchise trilogy.
In a shift from previous installments, the narrative will focus on the Parr children—Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack—as they take center stage. The story picks up shortly after the events of the second film, in a world where superheroes have regained legal status. This new era includes the introduction of the ‘Superhero League’, a corporate-sponsored organization. The plot will follow the children as they sneak out at night to protect the city, often struggling to manage Jack-Jack’s evolving powers while keeping their activities secret from their parents.
Brad Bird, who directed the first two films, remains the writer and executive producer, while Peter Sohn will take over as director. The original voice cast is set to return, including Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr, Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, Sarah Vowell as Violet, and Huck Milner as Dash. The film is expected to feature a new villain described as more powerful than the entire family combined.
