Pixiv and VRChat form capital alliance to expand 3D avatar ecosystem

Pixiv Inc. has entered into a capital and business alliance with VRChat Inc., the operator of the social VR platform VRChat. Through this investment and partnership, the two companies aim to strengthen the creator ecosystem supporting 3D avatar culture by collaborating across the areas of creation, distribution, and experience.

Key initiatives include joint promotions, events, and technical integration between platforms. As an initial step, the companies plan to collaborate at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Additionally, they will co-release a new VRChat world this autumn titled ‘Avatar x Dress-up Tutorial,’ designed to help beginners explore avatar and customization culture.
