Pixxel establishes US subsidiary to expand satellite technology services

Bengaluru-based space technology firm Pixxel has announced the formation of Pixxel Federal, a new United States subsidiary. The company aims to secure increased satellite technology contracts from American defense, intelligence, and civilian government agencies.

The new entity will focus on providing advanced satellite imaging technology, mission systems, and geospatial intelligence services. This expansion builds upon Pixxel’s existing relationships with NASA and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), where the company has already secured contracts to support the integration of commercial hyperspectral satellite data.

Pixxel’s hyperspectral technology is designed to identify materials and surface details often missed by conventional imagery. Potential applications include camouflage detection, terrain analysis, environmental monitoring, agriculture, and critical mineral identification. Allyson Jenkins, formerly the company’s Vice President for Public Sector, will lead Pixxel Federal.
