Piyush Goyal meets with CEOs to discuss investment and AI security

Indian Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held meetings with prominent technology and finance executives to discuss economic and digital security initiatives.

In a meeting with Sundeep Sikka, MD and CEO of Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd, Goyal discussed strategies to deepen retail investment, strengthen the nation's asset management ecosystem, and attract increased global capital into Indian markets.

Goyal also met with Nadav Zafrir, CEO of Check Point Software, to discuss the company's expanding presence in India. The discussions focused on research and development expansion and the use of AI-driven security to protect digital public infrastructure. The meeting also addressed cooperation in cybersecurity, digital trust, and AI-led innovation to support technology-driven growth.
