Piyush Goyal discusses cybersecurity and agri-exports in Singapore

During a visit to Singapore, Indian Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held discussions regarding the protection of India’s digital public infrastructure. Goyal met with Nadav Zafrir, CEO of Check Point Software Technologies, to explore the expansion of the company’s research and development activities in India and the implementation of AI-driven security solutions to safeguard the nation’s digital economy.

In addition to cybersecurity discussions, Goyal participated in an APEDA-FairPrice roadshow alongside Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade & Industry, Gan Siow Huang. The initiative aims to boost Indian agricultural and processed food exports—including organic products, dairy, rice, and millet-based goods—to Singapore, the wider ASEAN region, and Australian markets.

The visit also included engagements at the India-Singapore Business Forum, where Goyal highlighted India’s economic growth and investment opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
