Pizza Maxima to host 150 top Italian pizzerias in Rome
The fifth edition of Pizza Maxima is set to take place on September 28 at Spazio 900 in Rome. Formerly known as the Pizza Awards, the event has been rebranded to distinguish it from similar imitations and to emphasize the prestige of the Italian white art industry.
The event will bring together 150 nominated pizzerias from across Italy. A jury composed of approximately 200 gastronomic journalists, curators, and industry experts will evaluate the nominees based on criteria including dough technique, ingredients, service, and quality-to-price ratio.
During the ceremony, 45 awards will be presented, including regional recognitions and four special titles for the professionals of the year: Best Pizzaiolo, Best Pizzaiola, Best Under 35, and Best Baker. The gathering aims to foster professional debate and provide business opportunities within the sector.
