PKO Bank Polski warns of fraudulent online advertisements

PKO Bank Polski has launched a campaign titled ‘Reklamy — reklamy, które kłamią’ (Advertisements — advertisements that lie) to warn consumers about fraudulent online marketing. The initiative highlights how fake advertisements can mimic professional websites to promote fictitious investments or impersonate legitimate stores, often using deep discounts to induce urgent action.

Experts warn that the primary risk occurs after a user clicks a link and begins providing personal data or payment information. To assist the public, Paulina Krakowska from the PKO Bank Polski Cybersecurity Department will be available for consultations regarding online fraud on October 12, between 9:00 and 16:00.
