PKO BP announces new financial limits and security warnings

PKO Bank Polski has issued communications regarding new financial limits and security warnings for its customers.

Following data from Statistics Poland regarding average monthly wages, the bank announced that the seizure-free amount under court or administrative enforcement titles for 2026 is set at 3,604.50 PLN. Additionally, the bank updated the maximum amount for death dispositions—written instructions allowing relatives to access funds without waiting for inheritance proceedings—to 185,005.00 PLN.

Separately, the bank addressed reports of unusual phone calls. PKO BP confirmed that certain numbers, such as 81 535 67 65, are used by an automated virtual assistant to confirm actions like the activation of the mObywatel application. However, the bank warned that scammers may spoof these official numbers. Customers are advised never to provide passwords, authorization codes, or card details over the phone and to verify the identity of any caller through the IKO application.
