PKR faces instability as Lee Chean Chung joins Bersama Malaysia

The People's Justice Party (PKR) is facing internal instability following the departure of several Members of Parliament. Former Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung has officially joined the Bersama Malaysia Party, led by Rafizi Ramli. Lee's move follows previous departures by figures such as Wong Chen and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

Lee's entry into Bersama is intended to strengthen the party's leadership and assist in campaigning for the Melaka state elections, specifically targeting Chinese-majority areas. His departure from PKR reportedly follows a three-year membership suspension due to disciplinary issues.

UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii has called on the Pakatan Harapan-led government to address these resignations, suggesting they signal a loss of confidence in the party leadership and the Prime Minister. Razlan noted that the former MPs have planned a nationwide tour to highlight alleged governance failures and internal party issues.
