PKS Secretary General visits earthquake victims in Nusa Tenggara Timur

Muhammad Kholid, the Secretary General of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), recently visited earthquake-affected areas in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) to monitor the situation and distribute humanitarian aid. The visit focused on displacement centers, including the St. Francis Xavier Poka Parish Church, which is currently housing residents in emergency tents.

Kholid noted the resilience and hospitality of the local residents, who maintained a cheerful and welcoming attitude despite the ongoing trauma from the earthquake that occurred in mid-August. Although the delegation requested that no formal ceremonies be held to focus solely on aid delivery, residents insisted on welcoming the group, a gesture Kholid attributed to the strong local cultural values regarding the honoring of guests.
