Pål T. Næss appointed head of Innovasjon Norge’s New York office

Pål T. Næss, co‑founder of the unicorn‑valued tech company Gelato, has been named leader of Innovasjon Norge’s New York office. The appointment follows his previous stints as head of the agency’s Canadian office and as director for entrepreneurship and start‑ups. Næss said he will use his experience to help Norwegian companies enter the United States, describing New York as a key gateway for capital, expertise and international networks.

Innovasjon Norge’s export director Eva Camerer highlighted the importance of the U.S. market despite recent tariff uncertainties, noting that the recent FIFA World Cup exposure could benefit Norwegian trade. At the same time, the agency announced new leaders for other overseas offices, including Morten Langsholdt in Vietnam, Janne T. Morstøl in Paris and Christian Horn‑Hanssen in Italy.
