Placer County Veterans Service Office facilitates reunion for brothers separated by 40 years
Two veteran brothers who had been separated by nearly 3,000 miles for 40 years held their first face-to-face reunion via video chat. One brother resides in Grass Valley, California, while the other lives in eastern Connecticut.
The reunion was facilitated by the Placer County Veterans Service Office. To ensure the siblings can maintain more frequent visual contact, the county office is collaborating with a nonprofit to provide the brothers with tablets and internet access, moving beyond their previous reliance on telephone calls.
