Planalto Esporte Clube wins Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino Série A3

Planalto Esporte Clube, based in Aparecida de Goiânia, has won the Série A3 title of the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino. The club secured the championship with a 1-0 victory over Juventude-SE at the Batistão stadium in Aracaju.

Founded in December 2024, Planalto is less than two years old and marks the first time a club from the state of Goiás has won a national women's football competition. The victory qualifies the team to compete in the Brasileirão A3 in 2026.

Coach Regiane Santos achieved her third national promotion since 2022 with this title. While Juventude-SE missed out on the championship, they secured a spot in the Série A2 of the Brasileirão in 2027.
