PlanEat platform reduces employee lunch costs by 50%

PlanEat, a benefit corporation founded by Nicola Lamberti, has expanded its food planning services to over 100 companies, involving 10,000 workers and managing approximately 25,000 meals per month. The platform aims to address rising lunch costs, which industry research indicates can average 16.19 euros when dining out.

By using the PlanEat platform, employees can pre-order meals, view nutritional information, and customize portions, resulting in an average meal cost of 7 euros. This represents a saving of over 50% compared to traditional dining options. The service is primarily utilized by companies in Lombardy, including Milan, Pavia, and Monza and Brianza, but also operates in Campania and Veneto through a distributed canteen model.

The system requires all orders to be placed in advance, allowing for production based on real demand, which helps reduce food overproduction.
