Planet Fitness expands in Spain with new Madrid gym

Planet Fitness is expanding its presence in Spain with the opening of a new gym located in the Amura building in Alcobendas, Madrid. The expansion is part of an ambitious growth plan for the company, which aims to open more than 300 establishments across the country.

The international chain, which entered the Spanish market in 2024, focuses on accessibility and competitive pricing. While most of its global locations operate under a franchise model, the company utilizes its own managed centers for its initial implementation in Spain. The new facility features high-tech equipment and wellness services, including specialized recovery areas with massage chairs and HydroMassage beds.
