Planet Labs technology explored by Brazilian producers to combat wild boar damage

A delegation of 40 rural producers and leaders from Paraná, organized by Sistema Faep, visited the headquarters of the technology company Planet Labs in San Francisco, USA. The visit aimed to explore remote sensing solutions for the Brazilian agricultural sector.

The technology utilizes daily satellite imagery combined with artificial intelligence algorithms to provide high-resolution data. Key applications include mapping destruction caused by wild boars, monitoring sanitary risks such as African Swine Fever and Classical Swine Fever, and optimizing livestock management through real-time pasture health diagnostics and automated cattle counting.
