Michoacán implements health, infrastructure, and economic initiatives

Michoacán is implementing several regional initiatives focused on public health, infrastructure, and economic protection. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Secretaría de Salud de Michoacán (SSM) is deploying mobile mammography units to 10 municipalities to provide free screenings for women aged 40 to 69. Additionally, the IMSS in Yucatán is promoting breast self-examination to aid early detection.

In infrastructure development, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla inaugurated the renovated Boulevard Industrial in Uruapan, a 50-million-peso project featuring hydraulic concrete, bike lanes, and improved sidewalks. Furthermore, the Morelia Planetarium is undergoing modernization with the installation of two high-end telescopes to promote scientific study.

Economically, the 'Carnitas Michoacán' brand has expanded its protection by registering the trademark with the USPTO in the United States, benefiting six certified local businesses. In the cultural and technological sectors, Morelia is hosting the 5th International Book and Reading Fair (Fillm) and the Morelia Lab innovation summit, which features AI expert Nicolás Fernández Talice.
