Planetarium in Copenhagen introduces humanoid robots
The Planetarium in Copenhagen has introduced two humanoid robots, the Unitree H2 EDU model, as a permanent part of its visitor experience. Standing 182 centimeters tall and weighing approximately 70 kilograms, the robots are intended to provide guests with insight into future technologies, including artificial intelligence and space technology.
The robots are equipped with a language model that allows them to conduct conversations in both Danish and English. According to CEO Mette Broksø Thygesen, the robots were purchased for between 500,000 and 600,000 DKK each and were produced in China.
Initially, the robots will be demonstrated by trained staff in a designated area to allow visitors to observe their movements safely. Over time, the institution plans to activate the robots among the public to facilitate learning and interaction regarding the impact of such technology on life on Earth and space exploration.
