Turkey widespread planned electricity outages scheduled

Multiple provinces across Turkey are facing extensive planned electricity outages due to infrastructure maintenance, network improvements, and investment works.

In the eastern region, Van is undergoing a large-scale energy infrastructure modernization, with significant outages expected in the İpekyolu and Erciş districts. Gaziantep will also see disruptions across several districts, including Şahinbey, Şehitkamil, Nizip, and Araban, as part of network improvement efforts.

In western and central Turkey, major cities including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Konya have announced schedules for power interruptions. Istanbul's European side will see outages across 13-14 districts managed by BEDAŞ. Ankara is preparing for maintenance in Sincan, Yenimahalle, Çankaya, and Altındağ. Other affected areas include Muğla, Aydın, Denizli, Eskişehir, Tokat, Trabzon, and Nevşehir.

These outages are expected to last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the specific district and the nature of the technical work being performed. Residents and commercial businesses in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions.
