Turkey schedules widespread electricity outages for late July 2026
Utility companies across Turkey announced planned maintenance and network upgrades that will cause electricity outages on 26 July and 27 July 2026. The outages affect dozens of districts in provinces including Aydın, Muğla, Denizli, İzmir, Eskişehir, Kütahata, and Bursa, with cut‑off periods ranging from a few hours to most of the day. In Adana’s Safiyesu Villaları estate, residents have been without power since Saturday, prompting local management to call for urgent action. Separate water‑supply interruptions are also planned in Hatay on 28 July, but the primary focus of the announcements is the nationwide electricity maintenance schedule.
The utilities warned that early completion of work may restore power before the announced end‑times. Customers were advised to protect electronic devices, adjust daily plans and follow official outage‑tracking platforms for updates.
