Plant care and selection for indoor and small spaces

Cultivating plants in small spaces or indoors can enhance home decoration, provided the species chosen matches the available light and water conditions. Compact species such as violets, begonias, petunias, and mini-roses are suitable for windowsills, balconies, and entrances. Violets thrive in bright, indirect light, while petunias and moss roses require several hours of daily sunlight.

For high resilience, species like the Sansevieria (snake plant), Pothos, and Zamioculcas are recommended as they tolerate low light and irregular watering. Peace lilies are also noted for their ability to recover from neglect.

Key maintenance practices include watering based on soil dryness rather than a set schedule, ensuring proper drainage to prevent root rot, and cleaning leaves to allow for better light absorption. Adjusting care routines for seasonal changes, such as reducing water in winter, is essential for plant health.
