Plastic factory fire in Chuong My, Hanoi

A large fire broke out at a single-story plastic factory in Chuong My Ward, Hanoi, on the morning of August 28. The facility, which covers an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, contained many flammable materials, causing the fire to produce large columns of black smoke.

Hanoi police mobilized multiple firefighting units, including teams from areas 2, 4, 15, 16, 28, and 33. Emergency responders deployed approximately 10 fire engines, specialized command vehicles, robots, floating pumps, excavators, and bulldozers to the scene.

As of 8:30 AM, the fire was estimated to cover about 100 square meters. Authorities reported no casualties immediately following the outbreak, and efforts were underway to contain and extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
