Platanoulia hosts the 11th annual Pear Festival

The 11th Pear Festival was held in Platanoulia, an event that has become a significant local institution for the Tyrnavos Municipality. Organized by the ‘Saint Charalambos’ Cultural Association of Platanoulia, the festival aims to promote local agricultural production and regional identity.

Tyrnavos Mayor Stelios Tsikritis attended the event, praising the festival for its cultural impact and its growing reputation across Greece. He highlighted the unique quality of pears produced in the Tyrnavos region, noting that the product distinguishes itself through taste and quality due to the fertile soil and the dedication of local farmers. The Mayor also noted ongoing municipal support for the agricultural sector through infrastructure projects, including roadworks, drilling, and water supply connections.
