Plateau State troops rescue two kidnap victims
Troops from Operation Enduring Peace rescued two kidnapping victims during separate operations in Plateau State, Nigeria.
On Tuesday, August 25, troops from Sector 3 conducted a search-and-rescue mission in the Bassa Local Government Area following reports of the abduction of Ndubuisi Onuigbo. The operation resulted in his successful rescue.
In a second operation during the early hours of Wednesday, August 26, Sector 2 troops encountered suspected terrorists during a patrol in Kukawa village, Kanam Local Government Area. The troops pursued the suspects, who abandoned a kidnapped victim identified as Mallam Sambo Abdullahi.
Both victims have been debriefed and reunited with their families. Major General Maxwell Dangana, Commander of Operation Enduring Peace, commended the troops for their actions and urged residents to remain vigilant and provide information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts to restore peace in the region.
