PlateUp! launches free 'Turning Up The Heat' update on its fourth anniversary

Yogscast Games and its partner It’s Happening have released a free "Turning Up The Heat" update to mark the fourth anniversary of the cooperative kitchen‑management game PlateUp!. The update went live on August 4, 2026 across all platforms – Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Pass.

Key additions include Heat and Chill cards that introduce ten new challenge levels and three stacked Chill levels, a new sizzling fajita dish that must be served hot, a Greenhouse system that rewards reusable plants with unique buffs, a garage rework with an inbox pile for overflow crates, and new gardener and firefighter outfits. Switch players also receive in‑game achievement tracking.

PlateUp! has sold over three million copies on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch since its 2022 launch, and the update expands its content without cost to existing players.
