Local police in the municipalities of Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro, and S'Agaró reported a decrease in overall crime during the 2026 summer season. Total crimes fell by approximately 11% compared to the previous year.

Specific reductions were noted in thefts, which dropped from 127 to 88 cases (a 30.7% decrease), and burglaries involving force, which fell by 32.3% from 34 to 23 cases. In contrast, reports of incivility and violations of local ordinances surged by 120.9%, rising from 687 to 1,518 instances. Additionally, infractions of the Citizen Security Law increased by 66.6%, and there was a significant rise in the removal of personal mobility vehicles from public spaces.
