Plato Racing to compete as CPRL in BTCC after administration

Plato Racing will continue to compete in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) under a new name and management structure following the team's entry into administration. The team, which faced losses exceeding £800,000, will compete at Donington Park this weekend under the new title of CPRL.

Title sponsor Cataclean has announced it will provide interim funding for CPRL to ensure the team remains operational and to safeguard jobs and creditors. While the team will move forward with new management, BTCC legend Jason Plato will depart the organization. TOCA, the championship organizer, confirmed that the team has provided assurances of its continued participation through the remainder of the 2026 season.

Drivers Adam Morgan and Dan Rowbottom are expected to continue with the program. The transition follows a period of speculation regarding the team's financial stability after its recent performance at Knockhill.
