Playa Blanca reopens Femés Avenue following road improvements

The Yaiza City Council has reopened the Femés Avenue in Playa Blanca to vehicular traffic following road improvement works. The project, which involved reinforcing the road surface, widening the roadway, paving, and constructing a median and a bike lane, represents a municipal investment of 1.3 million euros.

Mayor Óscar Noda stated that the contractor must immediately proceed with the second phase of the project. This upcoming stage includes the installation of public lighting on the new median and the full opening of the bike lane.

In addition to the Femés Avenue works, the contractor Hermanos Tavío Santana is currently working on the integral rehabilitation of Avenida Papagayo, the main artery of Playa Blanca, which involves a separate municipal investment of 2.6 million euros. These efforts aim to improve road safety and enhance the visual appeal of the tourist area.
