Playa del Carmen mayor distributes 2,000 backpacks to local families

Estefanía Mercado, the municipal president of Playa del Carmen, led the distribution of 2,000 backpacks to support local families for the upcoming school year. The initiative aims to alleviate the economic burden on households during the back-to-school period.

The distribution took place at two locations: 1,000 backpacks were delivered at the Luis Donaldo Colosio Sports Unit boxing gym, and another 1,000 were distributed at the second park in Villas del Sol. Mercado emphasized that providing these tools helps students start their activities with necessary supplies while offering direct financial relief to parents.
