Medellín's Feria de las Flores 2026 draws millions and a $60 million economic boost

The Feria de las Flores 2026 in Medellín runs from 31 July to 9 August, featuring more than 120 activities, three major parades, a salsa "Viva La Salsa" concert and a Super Concert with artists such as Grupo Niche and Carín León. Mayor Federico Gutiérrez projects 17 200 jobs and an economic impact of roughly US$60 million, with an expected 365 000 visitors and 85 % hotel occupancy.

In nearby Colombian cities, Soacha hosted a three‑day Gastronomic Fair (18‑20 July) to mark the 216th anniversary of independence, offering traditional foods, folkloric shows and a children’s cooking workshop. Santa Martha Latuvi organized the 10th Feria de la Manzana (18‑19 July) with athletic races, art contests and free transport, while Temoaya (Mexico) announced a two‑week Feria Patronal featuring live tapete weaving and artisan markets.

Mexico’s Feria del Carmen (mid‑July) attracted over 20 000 attendees for a free Aleks Syntek concert and showcased rides, food stalls and cultural programs. The town of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez held Zumbanda Vol. 3 (17 July), a free music‑and‑zumba event aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles. In Oaxaca, the 13th Feria de la Tlayuda (19‑27 July) highlighted the traditional tlayuda dish, involved more than 600 families, and drew visitors from across Mexico and the United States.

Across the region, multiple fairs are using free entry, cultural performances and local artisan showcases to boost tourism, support small businesses and reinforce community traditions.
