Playas de Rosarito manages flood risks and public service issues

Playas de Rosarito is addressing several local issues involving public safety, emergency services, and infrastructure. The Direction of Civil Protection and Firefighters has announced a preventive operation to warn families in high-risk areas, such as Morales and Cordero canyons, about potential flooding due to the active El Niño phenomenon. Officials noted that weather conditions currently mirror those seen in 2015.

In a separate matter, Mayor Rocío Adame recognized the local fire department for their daily service during National Firefighters Day. Meanwhile, residents in the high zones of the municipality, specifically in the Mario Guzmán area, have reported a lack of regular garbage collection services, forcing some to burn waste to manage accumulation.

Additionally, local authorities have processed a legal case against Jesús Enrique “N” for the alleged residential robbery of an item in the Cumbres de Rosarito neighborhood on August 7, 2026. The defendant has been placed in preventive detention.
