PlayDMusic festival holds performances in Bitonto

The fourth edition of the PlayDMusic festival, organized by the John Cage Music Academy – Associazione Culturale 4’33” with support from the Puglia Region and the Municipality of Bitonto, features a series of musical performances at the Cittadella del Bambino.

On September 5, the event includes a tribute to Ennio Morricone titled “C’era una volta… Ennio Morricone.” The Alberto di Leone Quartet, featuring Alberto di Leone, Antonio Laviero, Antonello Losacco, and Maurizio Lampugnani, will perform original reinterpretations of the composer's famous film scores through a contemporary jazz lens.

The festival concludes on September 6 with two distinct sets. The first set features Selmah, a bilingual singer-songwriter known for blending Brazilian music, jazz, and contemporary sounds. The second set features Italian jazz artist Gegè Telesforo, who will present “Jazz Radio,” a format that combines musical performance with storytelling.
