Playground Games reveals Drift Attack mode for Forza Horizon 6

During an Xbox broadcast at Gamescom, Playground Games showcased new features for the upcoming open-world racing title Forza Horizon 6. A primary highlight is the introduction of the Drift Attack gameplay mode.

In Drift Attack, players aim to achieve the highest possible drift score within a single lap and attempt to break that record in subsequent laps. To engage the mode, players drive into designated drift zones where blue track markings guide them toward optimal lines and provide drift point multipliers. The game's campaign has been expanded to include this mode, allowing players to progress through ranks by participating.

The update will be available for free to all Forza Horizon 6 players. New content will also be added to the Collection Journal to encourage participation in Drift Attack events, rewarding players for using various vehicle categories such as muscle cars, sports cars, and rear-wheel drive (RWD) vehicles. Additionally, a new Forza Edition Jaguar XJ-S will be introduced, which players can unlock by completing specific Drift Attack entries in the Collection Journal.
