PlayStation 5 hardware updates: controllers and storage

Various updates and hardware options are available for PlayStation 5 users, ranging from specialized controllers to storage solutions.

Brook has released the StarRay controller, an alternative to the DualSense featuring an asymmetrical analog stick layout similar to Xbox controllers. It utilizes Hall Effect sticks with magnetic sensors to prevent stick drift and includes mechanical buttons and configurable triggers.

For storage expansion, users are advised that while external USB SSDs can store PlayStation 4 games, only internal NVMe M.2 (Key M) SSDs with PCI-Express Gen4x4 support and heat sinks can be used to play PlayStation 5 titles.

Additionally, new Limited Edition DualSense controllers are appearing on Amazon, including a Wolverine-themed design and a K-pop inspired edition featuring LISA from Blackpink.
