PlayStation Store launches Summer Sale with up to 75% off games

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the PlayStation Store Summer Sale begins on 15 July 2026 and runs until 12 August 2026. The promotion offers discounts of up to 75 percent on hundreds of titles for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR2, including major releases such as Elden Ring Nightreign, God of War Ragnarök, Gran Turismo 7, Final Fantasy XVI, Battlefield 6, Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil 4, and many others. A mid‑sale refresh on 27 July will replace some offers with new deals. Sony noted that the sale gains added relevance as the company plans to cease physical disc releases for new PlayStation games from January 2028, shifting more sales to the digital storefront. The discount campaign has drawn mixed reactions from gamers, with some expressing concern over the move to digital‑only distribution. The sale is being promoted worldwide, with local coverage in the United Arab Emirates, France, Brazil, Germany and Romania.
