PlayStation Store titles appear free for users in UK and Europe

Several PlayStation 4 titles have unexpectedly appeared for free on the PlayStation Store. The offer has been primarily identified by users in the United Kingdom and Europe, though some players in the United States have also reported being able to claim certain titles.

Specific games identified as free include Mafia III: Definitive Edition and Call of Duty: WWII for PS4. Some users have also reported being able to claim Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The availability appears inconsistent across different accounts, as some players see the games listed at their normal price while others see them as free.

Sony has not provided an official explanation for this occurrence, leaving it unclear whether this is a planned promotion, a technical error, or a licensing issue. Because the availability is inconsistent and the cause is unknown, users are advised to check the store pages directly and add the titles to their libraries immediately if they appear for free.
