Playtech reports 77% rise in H1 Adjusted EBITDA driven by U.S. growth
Playtech reported a significant increase in first-half 2026 profitability, with Adjusted EBITDA rising 77% year-over-year to €162.5 million. Revenue from continuing operations grew 10% to €425.1 million, driven largely by a surge in the Americas. Revenue from the United States and Canada grew 161% year-on-year, with constant-currency growth reaching 176%.
The company’s performance marks a strategic inflection point as it transitions into a predominantly pure-play B2B technology business. Growth in the U.S. was attributed to partnerships with Hard Rock Digital and product launches with operators including FanDuel, bet365, and Fanatics. Playtech’s U.S. operations reached profitability earlier than anticipated and expanded into six regulated iGaming states.
In Latin America, underlying revenue grew 29%, supported by performance in Mexico and Colombia. Playtech’s equity holding in Caliente Interactive contributed approximately €30 million in adjusted EBITDA and €37 million in dividends. The group reported free cash flow of €101 million and an adjusted profit after tax of €95 million, up from €16.6 million in the prior-year period.
