Plaza Almagro undergoes playground and basketball court renovations

Plaza Almagro in Buenos Aires is undergoing significant renovations to its recreational facilities. The city has authorized painting works for the plaza's basketball court, with a budget of $1,929,090.20. The project will be executed by Vivero Cuculo SRL within a 10-day timeframe as part of a broader maintenance contract for Comuna 5. This court previously featured a 162-square-meter mural by the Grupo Artístico de Boedo.

Additionally, the plaza's playground and seating areas have been renovated with a nature-inspired theme. The new playground design evokes a forest setting with elements representing trees, lakes, and stones, expanding the recreational area by 98 square meters to a total of 924 square meters. The upgrades include modern, safe equipment for various age groups, elevated structures, and improved accessibility. To protect vegetation, new raised planters and drainage paths have been installed alongside updated urban furniture to enhance rest areas for residents.
