Plaza Huincul opens new reinforced plastic pipe plant
A new manufacturing plant for reinforced plastic composite pipes has commenced operations at the Plaza Huincul Industrial Park in Neuquén, Argentina. Driven by the Plastiferro and Andreani groups, the facility, operating as Plastiferro Gas & Oil, produces flexible piping technology designed for the transport of water, oil, and gas, with potential applications in the mining sector.
The plant is capable of producing continuous pipe rolls up to 1,500 meters in length without joints, with an estimated useful life of approximately 20 years. Neuquén Governor Rolando Figueroa attended the inauguration, noting that the investment strengthens the local energy value chain and provides added value to the province's industrial profile.
Local authorities highlighted the strategic importance of the location within the province's energy corridor. Officials expressed optimism that this development will attract further industrial activity to the region, particularly in anticipation of upcoming liquefied natural gas projects.
