Plazma Youth Sports Games marks 30th anniversary with ceremony in Split, Croatia
(Adnkronos) – The Plazma Youth Sports Games, Europe’s largest amateur youth sports event, celebrates its 30th edition in the summer of 2026. Since its launch the Games have involved more than 3.869 million children across five countries. The International Finals will be held in Split from 17 to 22 August 2026, with the main ceremony scheduled for 21 August at the Croatian National Theatre and an All‑Star exhibition match at Prokurative (Republic Square).
During the ceremony new Game Ambassadors were appointed: former Croatian tennis star and coach Goran Ivanisevic, ex‑world tennis champion Ana Ivanovic, and European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner. President Zdravko Marić highlighted the Games’ mission to promote sport, friendship, fair play and healthier lifestyles for youth, noting the event’s free organization and its expansion from Croatia to Bosnia‑Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and, this year, North Macedonia.
