Australian mining and biotech firms announce major developments
Several Australian-focused companies have announced significant developments in mining and biotechnology.
Broken Hill Gold has launched a major geophysics program and mobilized a second drill rig at its White Dam gold-copper project in South Australia. The company aims to investigate deeper sulphide targets following the discovery of the Icebreaker deposit. Meanwhile, PLC Resources has commenced follow-up reverse-circulation drilling at its Rochefort gold prospect in Western Australia, targeting potential extensions of a larger mineralized system.
In Tasmania, Critica Limited reported a JORC 2012-compliant resource of 19 million tonnes at its Mt Lindsay project, describing it as one of Australia’s largest undeveloped tin-tungsten deposits. The inventory includes approximately 49,000 tonnes of tin and 28,000 tonnes of tungsten trioxide.
In the biotechnology sector, Amplia Therapeutics has finalized plans for its Phase 2 PRROSE ovarian cancer study. The trial will test the drug candidate narmafotinib, a Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) inhibitor, in combination with standard chemotherapy to target high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
