Plácido Domingo named patron of Éva Marton International Singing Competition
Plácido Domingo has been announced as the patron of the 7th Éva Marton International Singing Competition. Domingo, who has a long-standing professional relationship with Éva Marton, expressed that supporting young artists is a primary passion of his career.
The competition received a record 265 valid applications from across the globe. Following a review of audition videos by a preliminary jury chaired by Professor Éva Marton and including Péter Fried and Kálmán Szennai, 105 candidates have been invited to participate in the live rounds.
