Pleasanton man arrested for regional commercial burglary spree

Authorities have arrested 19-year-old Juan Luis Valdez-Luevano in connection with dozens of commercial burglaries across the Tri-Valley and greater Bay Area. The investigation includes a series of early-morning crimes in Pleasanton on Sept. 10, which targeted businesses such as De La Torre’s Trattoria.

Valdez-Luevano faces multiple charges, including seven counts of burglary in Alameda County and several counts of criminal conspiracy and second-degree burglary in Contra Costa County. He was taken into custody last week while attempting to meet with a probation officer in Dublin.

During the arrest, Pleasanton and San Ramon police executed search warrants at the suspect's residence and vehicle, reporting that evidence believed to be related to the burglaries was located. Police stated the investigation is ongoing as they work to identify additional suspects involved in the spree.
