Pleternica invests in community and sports facilities across local settlements
The City of Pleternica is conducting various infrastructure and renovation projects across its surrounding settlements, including Knežci, Gradac, Trapar, and Grbavica. These initiatives aim to improve community spaces and provide new facilities for residents.
In Knežci, renovations to the fire station are nearing completion with the installation of new flooring following previous interior and carpentry updates. In Gradac, work is underway at the Sports and Recreation Center (ŠRC) to renovate the interior through plastering and tiling, following recent energy efficiency upgrades. In Trapar, plans are set to remodel the social center, including a kitchen renovation to create a more functional gathering space. Additionally, Grbavica will soon receive new sports facilities, specifically a volleyball court.
The projects are funded through the Ministry of Demography and Migration in conjunction with co-financing from the City of Pleternica. Mayor Marija Šarić stated that the goal is to ensure development is visible in every settlement, providing quality spaces for sports and social activities for all residents, particularly youth.
