Plettenberg infrastructure projects face delays and ongoing renovations

Infrastructure projects in Plettenberg are facing adjustments due to technical challenges and scheduled maintenance. On the B236, Enervie Vernetzt GmbH is working to install new electricity and telecommunications lines. The project, which involves renewing approximately 400 meters of infrastructure, has encountered delays because workers must navigate an unmapped stream located within a concrete shaft. Consequently, the full closure of the B236, originally expected to end in mid-October, may now extend into early November.

Simultaneously, renovation work continues on the Siesel hydroelectric plant, a facility dating back to 1898. Muehlhan Deutschland GmbH is currently sanitizing the roll weir to ensure continued power generation and ecological stability. Work on the weir is expected to continue until late September, after which construction will pause to prepare for potential autumn flooding.
