Pleven institutions increase coordination for public order and urban security
Institutions in Pleven have initiated regular coordination meetings to enhance public order and urban security. The initiative, led by the Standing Committee on Public Order and Security of the Municipal Council, brings together local government officials, police, fire services, and other relevant agencies.
Key topics of discussion include managing increased traffic, addressing congestion, and tackling unregulated parking on major streets and boulevards. Officials are also evaluating the current video surveillance system and exploring the use of real-time camera technology to detect traffic violations.
Additionally, the meetings aim to address the prevention of anti-social behavior among youth. Deputy Mayor Hristo Kochev announced that a General Plan for traffic organization in Pleven will soon be released for public discussion, allowing citizens to provide feedback. The plan includes measures for integrated urban transport, such as improving infrastructure, installing new bus shelters and information boards, and upgrading traffic light systems.
