Pljevlja Municipality to fund rock stabilization in Ševari
The Municipality of Pljevlja has signed a contract to remediate a potentially dangerous rock formation in the Ševari local community. The project aims to protect nearby homes and residents from the risk of landslides.
The contract was signed by Pljevlja Municipality President Dario Vraneš and Aleksandar Ostojić, executive director of the Podgorica-based company Menadžer Montenegro. The works, valued at 18,906 euros including VAT, involve the installation of ‘spider nets’—a system designed to stabilize rock masses and prevent collapses.
The project is expected to be completed within 30 days of the contractor starting work. Local authorities noted that the difficult terrain had previously made finding a professional solution challenging, but the remediation is a priority to ensure citizen safety and protect property.
