PLN launches Smart EV program at SMK Sehati Karawang

PT PLN (Persero) has launched the Smart Electric Vehicle (Smart EV) program at SMK Sehati Karawang to enhance technical competencies in electric vehicle technology. The initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to support human resource development in alignment with government goals for clean energy adoption.

The program focuses on the conversion of conventional motorcycles to electric motors. Beyond providing training for students and teachers, SMK Sehati Karawang is being positioned to offer maintenance services for electric vehicles, including repairs for batteries and electrical systems. The school operates as a mentored workshop to support the local community's transition to green technology.
