PLN replaces equipment at Gondangwetan Substation to boost power reliability

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Transmisi Jawa Bagian Timur dan Bali (UIT JBM) has replaced a Current Transformer (CT) component at the 150 kV Gondangwetan Substation to strengthen the reliability of the electricity supply in Pasuruan and surrounding areas.

The replacement was carried out by eight technical personnel from the Probolinggo Transmission Implementation Unit (UPT). The maintenance was initiated following comprehensive testing and assessments that revealed a decline in the component's performance. General Manager of PLN UIT JBM, Ika Sudarmaja, stated that the action was a preventive measure to ensure equipment remains optimal and to minimize the potential for power disruptions.

This infrastructure rejuvenation is part of a broader effort to ensure a reliable and high-quality electricity distribution system spanning from East Java to Bali.
