PLN Serui upgrades electrical network in Yapen Islands

PLN ULP Serui is conducting uprating work on the Medium Voltage Network (JTM) to improve the reliability of the electrical system in Yapen Islands Regency. The project involves replacing old, corroded, or mossy poles with new ones and replacing bare wires with insulated cables to minimize potential disruptions and safety hazards.

Due to this infrastructure work, scheduled power outages are expected in several affected areas. These outages may occur two to three times a week, lasting approximately eight hours each, typically from 08:30 to 17:00 WIT.
